01152013-  Stephanie Guerra, an adjunct professor in the College of Education at Seattle University, reads a short story to young women at the King County Juvenile Detention Center. Guerra recently recieved a grant from the Seattle Youth Arts and Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs to build a fiction and memoir-writing program at King County Juvenile Detention Center. Guerra works with these incarcerated teens to tell their stories and develop literacy skills.
